This song makes me want to step on a thousand shirtless men while wearing high heals

Hmm weird how Tumblr loves this but Blurred Lines is a no no….hmmm…odd…

song about violently murdering males = great wonderful catchy funny empowering

blurred lines = literally rape, ban it everywhere and murder robin thicke

are you like completely ignoring the context of this song? it’s a song from a film about women in jail for murder. it’s not just a song played on the radio for money/lolz like “hahahaha let’s kill all men”. the film itself is placed in a PRISON and it’s about pop culture how it can make anyone a start, even murderers.

blurred lines is a song made by a person living in a culture that makes it ok to sexually assault women. that song is so ok that it is played over and over again in the radio. our culture made it ok to make a guy that writes a song about literal sexual assault a star. only this time, it’s not a film, it’s real life.

not to fucking mention these women are singing about murdering men who fucking abused them.

Amen. Get to know theatre. Stuff like this is brought up all the time. In no way is it glorifying anything, songs like these bring attention to issues. Exactly what theatre is meant to do.

Except he clearly states in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 and in Romans 1:26-27 (NEW testament) that it’s a sin..so the rest of what you say doesn’t exactly matter. And this idiot in the gif needs to read it before he says something he doesn’t know. I’m not judging gay people, but don’t sit there and say the Bible doesn’t have anything written about homosexuality.

Hello, dear. For one thing, the gif is not saying that the Bible did not say anything, if you read it, it’s saying that Jesus did not say anything. JESUS did not write Corinthians, which I know you know. Paul wrote it for the church in Corinth, and if you do your homework about the verse’s translation from Greek to English, you would know that decoding it had been a little shady, they weren’t sure enough what Paul really meant and had to settle for the closest which, unfortunately, is too general, and that the homosexuality it is referring to is most likely about the temple prostitution that had been rampant during those times. The problem is that people keep coming up with their own opinion and forcing it down other people’s throats.

I rest my case, I am a Christian, I struggled with the entire “I’m possibly going to hell” dilemma before, I really hate it when some theological-moron starts Bible thumping without learning the context. Please know your Bible, people.

Well said.

Amen to that

lol im done.

Might wanna take your own advice. Just a thought.

Down 60 pounds!!!!!! Picture 1 is June 2011 at 257, Picture 2 is May 2012 at 214, and  Picture 3 is July 2012 at 197. SOOOOOOO excited. I don’t see a lot of difference between the second two pictures, but I’m so proud of myself for how much I’ve lost. This hasn’t been easy and it’s been a lot of ups and downs but I’m well on my way to where I want to be. About another 40-50 pounds and I’ll be happy :]
